About This Cat

Sadly having to rehome my beautiful maine coons due to a change in our home circumstances. I can explain more if you are interested. We have had them both since 8 weeks old and she is a beautiful big chunky girl and he is a large slinky boy. The boy is a pedigree, GCCF and both have been neutered. They are good with cats and dogs, so can be rehomed with cat savvy dogs but I'll be checking to ensure they are going to be safe. I have priced them well to ensure they go to a good, safe and loving home. Can give more information and names etc over messages. Boy was born november 2023 and girl was born April 2023. No rude or nasty messages as this is a brutally hard decision for us all. They will not be split up. No stupid offers or messages, they’re very loved and this isn’t an easy decision.

Buying a Kitten Safely

Maine Coon Kitten Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Maine Coon.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a kitten can be rehomed.
  • By law, all cats MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as TICA registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new kitten:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the cat first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the cat/kitten without you viewing it first
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Maine Coon Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website
  • Seller asks you to send money to a bank account with a different name to the person you have been communicating with
  • The cat/kitten is advertised significantly cheaper than similar listings
